This painting is a revision of the Last Supper, painted with female disciples. It is understood that there are many misinterpretations as well as reinterpretations of what Jesus said and what was actually happening within history. There are many that believe Jesus did not die on the cross, and that when he appeared after death, it was actually himself. Because of the persecution he had to escape to another land. Many believe that was in India where there appears to be proof of his existence. Also that he married Mary Magdalene and had a child. As most things within reality, it is not always easy to discern truth from fiction. Da Vinci painted what is thought to be a female within the “Last Supper”. This particular painting by Aubrey Nye was painted before the Da Vinci Code was written, provoking curiosity as to the real meaning of the painting of the “Last Supper” by Da Vinci.
In Aubrey’s painting she had one male accepted at the “Last Supper” and that was John the Baptist. Jesus is portrayed with his arm around Mary Magdalene. There are also many women of different backgrounds and race that represent the female mystic
